Here we go again!

I'll be away to bonnie Scotland from August 30 until October 5, 2011.

sunny 16 °C

Yes, it's almost that time again. In just over three weeks, I will once again be making the journey to Scotland for five weeks of adventure. This will be my third visit to the country so this time I'm doing it slightly differently. The first year was a flying visit as part of a greater trip to the UK's mainland countries (England, Wales and Scotland). The second year was all about seeing as much of Scotland as I could and now for the third visit, I'm planning to slow down and have a proper look.

Once again I'm heading straight for Glasgow via Dubai where I'll be spending a few days sightseeing before heading out to Aberfeldy in Highland Perthshire where I'll be getting out and about for some hillwalking. Hillwalking is a major theme for this trip and I'm hoping over the five weeks to bag myself the odd Graham, Corbett or Munro, but we'll have to see how I go. I've been training locally for the last six weeks, so I'm confident to at least bag myself a Graham! For those who don't know, Grahams, Corbetts and Munros are classifications of hills in Scotland, Grahams are the smallest, and Munros are biggest.

I've created a trip here and marked out the destinations on the map so you can get an idea of where I'll be heading and of course, I'll be blogging as regularly as internet access allows while I'm away. I look forward to sharing my experience with you.
